The Wealth Maintenance Organization LLC is essentially owned by advisors and clients with a mutual goal of providing values-based solutions to the problems of family owned businesses and businesses owned by entrepreneurs.

The WMO was created by a team of professionals having experience in banking, trust administration, investment management, securities brokerage, insurance marketing, legal services, accounting services and coaching family owned businesses.

The entire WMO Alliance recognizes that clients are not always well served if their advisors are restricted to a limited array of products and services.  In the old tradition of selling products and services, there has always been some form of “bias” in their delivery.  There is generally no need to explain to clients that the advice they are typically receiving is constrained by the “silo of expertise” of the person offering the product or service.  This limitation is exacerbated by the constraints placed upon them by their parent company.  This is especially noticeable in the financial services industry.  No single brokerage firm, mutual fund family, insurance company, law firm or accounting firm can always be in a position to provide the very best solution for the family business.

Inevitably, the traditional search for the best solution is frustrating and expensive, and usually very time-sensitive.  When a need becomes apparent, it needs to be satisfied right away.  In the traditional world, less than fully-satisfying solutions are accepted as an expediency.

The creators of the Wealth Maintenance Organization believed that this does not have to be the case.  WMO realized that Technology can be brought to bear on this significant problem.  WMO also realized that one of the greatest barriers to doing business was a lack of trust.  Clients are suspicious of the motivations of purveyors of products and services.

Families needed to be assured that those who are providing such solutions are mindful of the family’s values and business ethics.  The family also prefers to work with individuals who have the same set of values.  That is the fundamental premise in the design of the computerized Internet-based networking system.
